Auch wenn ich in meinem Urlaub in Januar nicht alles so gemacht habe wie ich es mir eigentlich vorgestellt hatte, ich habe trotzdem 2 Leinwände fertig gemacht.
Allthough I haven't done everything I wanted during my holidays in January, I did manage to finish two canvasses.
Die erste Leinwand ist 40 x 40 cm. Hier habe ich mit Alpha Sticker, Acrylfarbe, iZink, Schellacktusche und Neo Color II gearbeitet.

Bei der zweiten Leinwand habe ich mal wieder mit Kreisen gespielt...
On the second canvas I played with circles again...
Diese hat 80 x 100 cm.Hier habe ich Acrylfarben, Schellacktusche und Bitumen benutzt.

Ich bin bekennender Couchpotatoe...aber um da dann nicht all zu untätig zu sein, habe ich meistens was zum Häkeln oder Stricken bereit liegen. Mein Problem dabei ist aber, dass eigentlich nie was richtig fertig wird. Es hapert an der Endverarbeitung.
Jetzt ist schon seit längerem meine Idee unser Wohnzimmer etwas umzugestalten und statt Beige und Brauntönen Grau einzuführen...Mein Liebster weiß es zwar noch nicht, aber ich habe so die Osterfeiertage ins Auge gefasst um den Wechsel zu vollziehen (inklusieve Wände streichen...)
I am a confessing couchpotatoe...but to not to be too unproductive I always have something to crochet or knit lying around. My biggest problem is to end a project though. It always stops shortly before the end.
I have been thinking in redecorating our living room for a while and to change from beige and brown to gray...My love does not know it yet, but I have thought that the Easter Holidays would be a good time to make the change (including painting the walls...)
Und damit ich nicht ganz ohne Deko rumstehe wenn es soweit ist, habe ich im herbst schon angefangen Kissenhüllen zu häkeln. Dies ist der Schuppen- oder Krokodilsstich. Der sieht auf der Fläche voll toll aus und ist letztendlich supereinfach. Ich habe es selber über Youtube gelernt.
And so I am not without any deco as soon as it is time, I already started to crochet some pillow cases. This is the crocodile stitch. It looks great on the surface and is super easy. I learned it myself through Youtube.
Und für die kuschelige Rückseite habe ich noch einen alten Pullover gefunden!
And for the cosy backside I found an old jumper.

Wie ich vor ein paar Wochen schon geschrieben habe, wollen Britta und ich gemeinsam das Buch "Creating Art At The Speed Of Life" von Pam Carriker durcharbeiten. Und wir werden ab sofort an jedem 1. des Monats unser Fortschritt posten.
Like I already wrote a few weeks ago, Britta and I want to work through the book "Creating Art At The Speed Of Life" by Pam Carriker. Und from now on we will post at every 1st. of the month our progress.
Ich finde es echt gut, dass wir hiermit auch wieder zum Anfang des Ganzen zurückgehen. Eine Sache, die ich sonst gerne als "zu einfach" abtue und mich in einem Buch direkt mit dem Wesentlichen beschäftigen will. Farblehre und Materialen hat man ja schließlich schon mal in grauer Vorzeit auf der Schule gemacht.
Tja, und dann kommt sowas wie mein Farbkreis dabei raus. Manche Farben sind nicht eindeutig (sicherlich nicht auf dem Aquarellpapier in der Mitte) Ich wurde mittendrin unterbrochen und alles war aufgetrocknet, bevor ich weiter machen konnte. Das hat dann die häßlichen Ränder gemacht und auch die Farbintensität ist auf einmal eine ganz andere...Aber ich lasse es jetzt so. Ich arbeite die Challenges auf halbe Seiten in meinem Art Journal ab. Auf jeden Fall gefällt es mir getreifte Ränder zu doodeln!
I really like the fact that we are going back to the beginnings with this. A thing that I normally would refer to as "too easy" and want to strat with the fun stuff right away in a book. Color theory and materials have been handled in the grey ages back in school already.
Well, and than something like my color wheel turns out. Some colors can not be indentified at all (especailly on the aquarell paper in the middle) Because I have been disturbed right in the middle of making this and everything had dried already before I had time to go along. This is how the ugly lines turned up and the color value is totally different too...But I am leaving it as it is. I deceided to do the challenges on half pages in my art journal. And I like to doodle striped borders, that is a fact!
