Vor 14 Tage schaltete ich zufälling mal wieder auf ein holländischer Kanal, und da wurden Lieder von Ramses Shaffy (Liedermacher aus meiner Kindheit) gespielt...(Als Kind habe ich die Musik, die meine Eltern hörten zwar wahrgenommen, aber doch nicht auf den Songtext gehört.) Unter anderem wurde dieses Lied in dieser Sendung interpretiert...Die Worte schwirren seitdem wie ein Mantra durch meinen Kopf.
Well, my weekend has started already. This morning I occupied myself with doing and folding laundry. I think ironing is totally overrated, so the iron (still) stayed cold. I have better things to do, like playing in my art journal.
Two weeks ago I zapped into a dutch channel where they were playing songs from Ramses Shaffy (Songwriter from my childhood)...As a child i heard the music my parents were listening to, but I never gave a thought on the text. This song was also played in that show...Ever since the words go through my mind like a mantra.
Die gezeigten Bilder geben den Inhalt des Songs gut wieder, auch wenn der auf Holländisch ist (Übersetzt; Singe-Kämpfe-Heule-Bete-Lache-Arbeite und bewundere). Kindheitserinnerungen, Lied und Text gehen mir sowas von unter die Haut. Da gibt es keinen besseren Grund als daraus eine Art Journal seite zu machen, oder?
The pictures in the video do represent the text quite good, even though it is in dutch (tTranslated; Sing-Fight-Cry-Pray-Laugh-Work and Admire). Childhood memories, the song, the text they go under my skin. Is there a better reason to make an art journal page out of it?
Typisch ich...nach 1-2 Schichten habe ich mal wieder mit Gesso über die ganze Seite gemalt. Diesmal recht dick und während das Gesso noch nass war habe ich Kreise reingestempelt.
Außerhalb den Kreisen habe ich zuerst mit Color Wash und viel Wasser den Hintergrund gemacht. Die helle Flecken sind gespritzte Wassertropfen, die gelben Tropfen wurden mit Gelato, Schwämmchen und Stencil gemacht.
Typically me...after 1-2 layers I painted with gesso over the whole page again. This time rather thick and as the gesso was still wet I stamped some circles in it.
outside of the circles I made the background with some color wash and a lot of water. The light stains are drops of water, the yellow drops were made with Gelato, a sponge and a stencil.

Seit ich mit dem Schreiben von diesem Post angefangen habe und jetzt letztendlich hier angelangt bin, ist viel Zeit vergangen. Ich habe einen Zwiebelkuchen gebacken, mit einer Freundin genüsslich probiert und für gut befunden, im Garten ein Teechen getrunken und mal 2 Stunden herrlichst gequasselt. So wünscht man sich den Anfang vom Wochenende!

Since I startet writing this post today and now, a lot of time has past by. I made an onion pie, tried it with a friend and approvedit tp be good, sat in the garden with a cup of tea and simply talked for 2 hours. This is how one wishes the weekend to start.
...and tomorrow is fleamarket day! *happy*
